Custom Fields

Every organisation tracks something 3rdRisk does not ask for as standard: a contract's internal reference or an ESG classification. Until now those fields came through a request to us, so a small change waited on a release.

Now you add them yourself, on third parties and contracts, from Configuration → Custom Fields.

What you can build

• Text, dates, yes and no switches, and dropdowns with your own options

• Categories and tabs

Per field, you decide

• The label and help text, a default answer, and whether it has to be filled in

• Where it appears, and whether it stays switched on

Worth knowing

• Once a field holds answers, its type is fixed and it cannot be permanently deleted, so nothing recorded is lost

• Every change is written to the audit log

• Needs the custom fields permission
