Custom Fields

Every organisation tracks something 3rdRisk does not ask for as standard: a contract's internal reference, an ESG classification, the entity a supplier is booked against. Until now those fields came through a request to us, so a small change waited on a release. You can now add them yourself, on third parties and contracts, from Configuration → Custom Fields.

Key Enhancements

• build your own fields: text, dates, yes and no switches, dropdowns with your own options, and a picker that draws on your existing third parties or users.

• organise the record: group fields into your own categories and tabs.

• set how each field behaves: the label and help text, a default answer, whether it has to be filled in, where it appears, and whether it stays switched on.

• nothing lost: once a field holds answers its type is fixed and it cannot be permanently deleted.

• every change tracked: edits are written to the audit log.
