Performance widgets for internal control dashboard
To provide clear insights into control performance, the internal control dashboard will be enhanced with performance metrics, trend analysis, and framework comparisons. Users will be able to track effectiveness over time, apply advanced filters, and export data for management reporting.
Key Enhancements
Performance overview (latest assessment period):
Displays effectiveness metrics (Effective, Not Effective, New, Not Tested).
Default to the latest assessment period, with filters for other periods.
Options to exclude plan/design phase controls and adjust "Not Tested" calculations.
Assessment performance trend:
Trend line showing the percentage of effective controls over four periods.
Filters to select a starting period and adjust "Not Tested" calculations.
Framework section performance comparison:
Bar charts comparing control effectiveness across framework sections over four periods.
Filters to refine data by framework, exclude specific categories, and adjust calculations.
Export functionality:
All widgets will be exportable for use in management reporting.
This update will enhance visibility, support compliance tracking, and improve decision-making by providing a structured view of control effectiveness

A1: Performance (Latest Assessment Period)

4 blocks showing:
Percentage Effective Controls + total number
Percentage Not Effective Controls + total number
Percentage New Controls + total number
Percentage Not Tested Controls + total number

Default display: Latest assessment period; filters to select other periods.
Add a filter to include/exclude controls that are in the plan/design phase when calculating "Not Effective" score.
Add a filter to use the previous assessment result for controls marked as "Not Tested" in the current period.

A2: Assessment Performance Trend
Display
The trend line for 4 periods showing the percentage of effective controls over time.
Remarks
Default display: Last 4 periods (starting with the most recent).
Add a filter to start analysis from a different period.
Add a filter to use the previous assessment result for controls marked as "Not Tested" in the current period.
Ensure compatibility with existing filters, e.g., organisational model.
A3: Framework Section Performance Comparison
Display
Bar charts showing assessment conclusions (percentage effective, not effective, not tested, and new controls) for 4 periods, grouped by framework section.
Remarks
Default display: All framework sections of a framework; add a filter to select a specific frameworks.
Default display: Last 4 periods (starting with the most recent); add an option to analyse from a different period.
Add a filter to include/exclude controls that are in the plan/design phase when calculating "Not Effective" score.
Add a filter to use the previous assessment result for controls marked as "Not Tested" in the current period.
Add an option to exclude specific categories (e.g., Effective, Not Effective, New, Not Tested) to focus on a single category like "Not Effective."
Ensure compatibility with existing filters, e.g., organisational model.
For all widgets I would like to have the ability to export them for further use in management reporting.

Feedback Nathalie en Stef:
Widget A1: we hebben binnen HEMA diverse frequenties waarmee controls worden getest, zoals kwartaal, maand, periode. Met het voorgestelde periode filter denk ik dat wij eigenlijk toch niet uit de voeten komen. Voorbeeld: bij periode 9 sturen we controls uit voor periode 9, maand 9 en Q3 (waarbij de start datum van Q3 veel eerder ligt dan P9). Deze zou ik allemaal tegelijk willen zien in deze widget met behulp van de filtering. Maar als ik filter op een heel kwartaal, dan krijg ik de assessments van periode 7 en 8 ook cadeau omdat die binnen Q3 vallen. Als oplossing zaten wij te denken aan een van de volgende twee opties:
o Filter toevoegen waarbij je op “assessment name” kan filteren (dropdown en dan aanvinken), zodat we Q3, P9 en M9 kunnen selecteren en alle relevante informatie in deze widget zien
OF
o Filter toevoegen waarbij je kan filteren op datum verstuurd. Meestal sturen we de assessments op één dag in de maand uit. Maar dit is wel wat minder betrouwbaar dan bovenstaande suggestie
Widget A2: hoe werkt deze widget indien je niet alleen kwartaal controls hebt (zoals Jumbo?)? Zoals aangegeven, wij hebben controls die per periode, maand, kwartaal of half jaar worden getest. En deze widget laat alleen kwartalen zien.
Widget A3: deze voelt voor ons eigenlijk een beetje overbodig. Ik neem aan dat je bij A1 en A2 ook kan filteren op framework sectie, waarbij je de informatie in A3 dan ook al kan terugzien in A1 en A2 (met de juiste filtering). Mocht je bij A1 en A2 niet kunnen filteren op framework sectie, dan zouden we deze bij HEMA ook weer niet zo snel gebruiken, omdat we echt per framework rapporteren. Uiteraard ook niet erg als deze widget er wel bij zit, maar ik wilde de feedback toch even geven omdat jullie het gaan ontwikkelen + het neemt wel ruimte in op het dashboard.
En daarnaast ook voor deze widget weer de vraag hoe dit werkt indien je niet alleen kwartaal controls hebt (zelfde als A2)
Tot slot zit er in het huidige onderdeel van het dashboard, wat door deze nieuwe widgets vervangen gaat worden, ook informatie over de implementatie status (implementation phase). Dit ontbreekt nu in het nieuwe voorstel. Deze informatie zouden we er wel graag in willen hebben (gespecificeerd per framework), anders moeten we dit alsnog manueel gaan ophalen met een download van de control library.

Binnen Jumbo kennen we drie statussen waarop we rapporteren:
Effectief
Niet effectief
Plan/ Design
Graag zien we deze drie deze statussen terug in widget A1 en A3. Om het percentage effectieve beheersmaatregelen te bepalen wordt plan/design meegeteld als niet effectief maar in de rapportage willen we hier wel apart over rapporteren.
Binnen Jumbo kennen we vier momenten dat we het self-assessment uitvragen en hier over rapporteren. We verwachten derhalve dat presentatie per kwartaal goed voor ons kan werken. Elke uitvraag kent dezelfde testingperiode. Aandachtspunt betreft de jaarlijkse controles: vragen we 1 keer per jaar uit maar de uitkomst dient wel ieder kwartaal opgenomen te worden in de rapportage. Conclusie van de laatste testperiode blijft geldig tot dat de controle opnieuw wordt getest. Wij rapporteren zowel op totaal Jumbo niveau als per framework sectie waardoor alle drie de widgets relevant zijn.
