Sanctions screening | Add virtual officer workflow after sanction is identified

Desired situation

If the name of a third-party has been found in the database of Open Sanctions, the risk officer will be triggered to review the alert in the third-party catalogue. If the risk officer has identified the alert as a true positive and has created an issue for this, the virtual officer should be activated in the platform. The virtual officer should ask if the (inherent) risk profile should be changed dependent on the alert and created issue.

Current situation

There is no feedback loop between the inherent risk profile and potential matches of third parties being on sanction lists. This might be confusing as the inherent risk profile can remain low while in reality sanctions have been discovered and reviewed to be a true positive.
